Timetable changes on 8 May 2022 due to the Wings for Life World Run 2022

On Sunday, 8 May 2022, the Wings for Life World Run will take place in Vienna. Due to many road closures in Vienna, the bus service of Vienna Airport Lines will unfortunately have to be suspended at some stations for a short time or the bus routes will be shortened.

VAL 1: Airport - Vienna Westbahnhof - Vienna Hauptbahnhof - Airport

Due to a closure of the “Inner Gürtel” (from Margaretengürtel to Westbahnhof), line VAL 1 will run an alternative route between 01.00 p.m. and approx. 02:10 p.m. and will therefore take a longer route to Westbahnhof station. We ask for your understanding for possible delays in the course at 01.30 p.m. away from the station Wien Westbahnhof in the direction of the airport.
VAL 2: Airport - Vienna Morzinplatz/ Schwedenplatz - Airport
VAL 2: Vienna Morzinplatz/Schwedenplatz stop will be closed from 12.30 p.m. to 03.00 p.m.
- Until 11.45 a.m. VAL 2 will run from the airport to Morzinplatz/Schwedenplatz and at 12.15 p.m. will be the last bus to return to the airport before the stop is closed.
- From 02.45 p.m. until 02.45 a.m., VAL 2 will run again regularly from the airport to Morzinplatz/Schwedenplatz and from 03.15 p.m. until 03.15 a.m. from Morzinplatz/Schwedenplatz to the airport.
- Please use the VAL 1 station Wien Hauptbahnhof to get to the airport (and back to Vienna) between 12.30 p.m. and 03.00 p.m.
- The departure and arrival point at Vienna Central Station is on bus platform R.
VAL 3: Airport - Wien Donauzentrum - Airport
The stops Wien Donauzentrum to Wien Kaisermühlen VIC are closed from 01.30 p.m. to 03.30 p.m.
- Between 01.30 p.m. and 03.30 p.m., VAL 3 will be short-routed only to or from Krieau.
- Thereafter first VAL 3 bus from the airport towards Donauzentrum at 04.00 p.m.
- Thereafter first VAL 3 bus from Vienna Donauzentrum to the airport at 04.58 p.m.

The Vienna Airport Lines take you directly and comfortably to the airport or to the city centre of Vienna every day, picking you up from various districts of Vienna with our three express lines.

Note

Due to announced strikes by bus drivers, there may be cancellations and restrictions in bus services on Thursday, 20 February 2025 from 04:00 a.m. to 06:00 a.m.

Timetable changes on 5 April 2025 due to the Vienna City Marathon 2025

The Vienna City Marathon will take place in Vienna on Saturday, 5 April 2024. Due to the numerous road closures, the Vienna Airport Lines bus service at the Morzinplatz/Schwedenplatz station will unfortunately have to be cancelled for a short time.

VAL 2: Vienna Morzinplatz/Schwedenplatz - Airport
Vienna Morzinplatz/Schwedenplatz stop will be closed from 05.20 p.m. to 07.30 p.m.
- VAL 2 will run from the airport to Morzinplatz/Schwedenplatz until 04:15 p.m. and at 05:00 p.m. will be the last bus to the airport before the bus stop is closed.
- From 07:15 p.m to 11.30 p.m., VAL 2 will once again run regularly from the airport to Morzinplatz/Schwedenplatz and from 08:00 p.m. to 11.45 p.m. from Morzinplatz/Schwedenplatz to the airport.
Please use the VAL 1 station Vienna Central Station to get to the airport (and back to Vienna) between 5.20 pm and 7.30 pm.The departure and arrival point at Vienna Central Station is on bus platform R.

Timetable changes on 6 April 2025 due to the Vienna City Marathon 2025

On Sunday, 6 April 2025, the Vienna City Marathon will take place in Vienna. Due to the many road closures in Vienna, the bus service of Vienna Airport Lines will unfortunately have to be suspended at some stations for a short time or the bus routes will be shortened.

VAL 1: Airport - Vienna Westbahnhof - Vienna Hauptbahnhof - Airport
VAL 1 will be short-routed from 09.10 a.m. to 01.15 p.m. Please use the station Hauptbahnhof to get to the airport during this period.
- from 00.00 a.m. to 09.00 a.m. VAL 1 is operated regularly (from Westbahnhof via Hauptbahnhof to the airport and back)
- between 09.10 a.m. and 01.15 p.m. VAL 1 only serves the stations Wien Hauptbahnhof and Airport. The station Wien Westbahnhof is closed during this period.
- from 01.30 p.m. to 00.00 a.m. regular service again (from Westbahnhof via Hauptbahnhof to airport and back)
The departure and arrival point at Vienna Central Station is on bus platform R.
VAL 2: Vienna Morzinplatz/Schwedenplatz - Airport
VAL 2: Vienna Morzinplatz/Schwedenplatz stop will be closed from 09.00 a.m. to 01.15 p.m.
- Until 08.15 a.m. VAL 2 runs from the airport to Morzinplatz/Schwedenplatz and at 08.00 a.m. as the last bus before the stop closure back to the airport.
- From 01.15 p.m. to 11.15 p.m. VAL 2 will run again regularly from the airport to Morzinplatz/Schwedenplatz and from 02.00 p.m. to 00.00 a.m. from Morzinplatz/Schwedenplatz to the airport.
During this period - between 09.00 a.m. and 01.15 p.m. - please use the VAL 1 station Vienna Central Station to get to the airport (and back to Vienna). The departure and arrival point at Vienna Central Station is on bus platform R.
VAL 3: Airport - Wien Donauzentrum - Airport
The stops Wien Donauzentrum to Wien Kaisermühlen VIC are closed from 05.30 a.m. to 11.40 a.m.
- Between 05.30 a.m. and 11.40 a.m., VAL 3 will be short-routed only to or from Krieau.
- First VAL 3 bus from the airport towards Donauzentrum at 02.00 p.m.
- First VAL 3 bus from Vienna Donauzentrum to the airport at 11.58 a.m.
